The World Health Organization declared COVID-19 a global pandemic on March 11, 2020 due to the rapidly spreading coronavirus outbreak. 

The intergovernmental Coordination Council of Georgia adopted new recommendations on 12 March 2020 for measures on coronavirus outbreak prevention, including the remote/distance labor conditions. 
Due to the above said, like other institutions, Batumi Ilia Chavchavadze State Drama Theatre is transferred to the remote working conditions. Performances and rehearsals (working on four plays had been in progress simultaneously) have been suspended. The mentioned working conditions are in action until further notice on new regulations.
