Synopsis:

Flight LP 43-20 is based on Guard Dogs by Romanian playwright Lucian Belianu.

This dramatic and deeply human story, marked by the scars of human experience, unfolds at an airport. Diana, an unknown woman, asks two airport employees, the elderly Uncle Jora and the young Pavle,  to help her reach the plane departing for Lisbon.

Diana is in despair. For three months, she has heard nothing from her husband, who left for Lisbon in search of work. What will the airport employees do? What fate awaits Diana? And, more broadly, what does life have in store for ordinary people weighed down by the ordinary problems of everyday existence, a life that, in a sense, seems suspended in mid-air, without any firm ground beneath it?

These are the questions that prompted director Andro Enukidze to reflect on the transience of human existence. As Ecclesiastes reminds us, ''Vanity of vanities''; in a world defined by impermanence, perhaps nothing is more enduring than the questions we carry with us.
