On 9 July, actor, director, playwright, and founder of the Batumi International Monoplay Festival, Otar (Otia) Katamadze, would have turned 43.

To honor his memory, the Batumi Ilia Chavchavadze Professional State Drama Theatre will host "Otia Days" from 9 to 11 July. The three-day event will present three significant theatrical productions connected with Otar Katamadze's creative legacy.

On 9 July, the Sandro Akhmeteli State Drama Theatre will present "Khanuma", based on the play by Avksenti Tsagareli, on the stage of the Batumi Drama Theatre. The production is directed by Otar Katamadze.

On 10 July, the Sandro Akhmeteli State Drama Theatre will present "The Diary of Anne Frank", another production directed by Otar Katamadze.

"Otia Days" will conclude on 11 July with a premiere on the Main Stage of the Batumi Drama Theatre. Audiences will see "Call It Whatever You Want" for the first time, a production based on Otar Katamadze's play of the same title. The performance is directed by Gaga Goshadze.

"Otia Days" will bring together Otar Katamadze's colleagues, friends, theatre professionals, and audiences, celebrating his life and highlighting the creative legacy he left to Georgian theatre.
